There is fun at Home Depot each first Saturday of the month. All Home Depot stores offer a project for kids (usually ages 7 to thru 11) where they get to hammer, cut and glue a project item.

These are just right for boys or girls just

learning to work with tools and all materials are provided free. Just

call the coordinator at your local Home Depot and tell them how many youth you intend to bring and they do the rest.  A nice completion certificate is presented when the item is finished and inspected by the coordinator.
